Affordable Hawaii The Big Island

What I love about the Big Island of Hawaii is that there are still Affordable Properties here!  Here are some areas that are still quite affordable:

Condos in Kailua-Kona

You can still get a nice Condo in Kona for under $150,000.  Depending on whether you are renting your Condo out as a vacation rental, or as a long-term rental, you can still find a Studio or 1 bedroom Condo for sale in Kailua-Kona.

Homes on 1 Acre in Ocean View

You can still find Homes for Sale up to $150,000 in Ka'u, and the Na'alehu areas of the Big Island.  Most of the Homes offer Water Catchment and will typically have 10,000 gallon tanks in their yards to catch the water, along with ultra-violet filtration systems to filter the water for drinking or indoor use.  Many people who are used to "living in the sticks" love the Ocean View area - no one bothers you, you can hide-out without any human contact for long periods, and yet you are within minutes of 3 shopping centers, gas, restaurants & hardware stores.  People like Retirees, Artists and Alaskans bloom abundantly in the Ocean View and the Ka'u areas.  Plus, it hardly rains in the lower regions, so you can have a lot of gardening time, or time to meditate outside.

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Homes on 1 Acre in Pahoa

Pahoa, Keaau, and the Hawaiian Paradise Park areas are also very popular for people who want to be near Hilo town, but need space in between them at an affordable price.  These areas offer great weather for growing produce & tropical botanicals, and your commute to Hilo is within a half-hour.  You might want to get used to the weather patterns in the area before purchasing, though some people buy in the area because the weather is similar to Seattle or Germany [with the exception of "warm rain"].
Even though inventory is low at this time, I like to put Buyer-clients on the MLS Search immediately so that when a property does come up for sale in this range, you are first to be notified.  When you would like more details on the areas of the Big Island that may interest you, give me a call-text anytime at 808-756-4874.  I would be happy to orient you to the places that you might feel most comfortable according to your lifestyle.
Blessings & Warmest Aloha-
