Being a lifelong Hawaii resident makes it very interesting to give you "just" 3 Reasons why I love staying in Hawaii for my vacation time, but here are my top 3 reasons why love staycations in Hawaii:

Beautiful Weather Year Round

1]  The weather is always beautiful somewhere!  Where I live in Kailua-Kona, it's typically sunny & nice the majority of the year, so we like to go to the beach, swim, surf , golf or take a glass bottom boat rides.

Undiscovered Fun!

2]  The Big Island is so big that there is so much to discover.  I've lived here for over 23 years, and there are still so many things that I have yet to do!  Ziplining, riding the flumes, helicopter tours, horseback riding.. even having lunch in another quaint little town like Hawi is fun!

No Traffic

3]  Living in Kailua-Kona, we do have busy times on the road [school traffic, Friday afternoons before a holiday, etc.], but generally there is minimal traffic where you are sitting in line waiting for long periods of time to get somewhere.  With the new commuter roads that have opened in the last few years, and more to come [like Ane Keohokalole Hwy.], local commuters can detour from any congestion unless they are on a main thoroughfare during busy hours.
Here is a driving tour of Ane Keohokalole Hwy. in Kailua-Kona.. one of our newest Commuter roads:

Besides tasting the food in other countries, or seeing Macchu Picchu with my own eyes, I am fully content having Staycations near home.  People spend their life savings to come to Hawaii on vacation.. I can have these experiences anytime for free!
What's your favorite play to do when you come to Hawaii?  When you move here, you can do it whenever you'd like!
Call me to find out more hotspots that you might like to do on your vacation/staycation!  Blessings!
