This was my first time volunteering at the Kona Brewers Festival.. what a blast!  People from all over the world came to taste the 54 Brewers & hundreds of beers available at the sold-out event.  Ticket sales for this one-day event sold out in the first 10 minutes online.  Hops & Barley fans  enjoyed Pale Ale's, Dark Beer, Light Beer, Tangerine Beer and more, along with amazing food.. what a beer-lovers dream come true..  and in Hawaii no less!

3300 people attended this amazing event that was held at the King Kamehameha Hotel luau grounds.  Different restaurants like Ponchos & Lefty's and the Blue Dragon brought the best munchies from mini tacos, to pork sandwiches to BBQ fried pork on a toothpick.. wow! [There was more than pork being served, but I'm a piggy fan, excuse me!]

Maxima Forslund and her husband Larry, Coordinators of this successful event assigned me, Sandra, and Jesse to the Bear Republic Brewing Company Booth that came from Cloverdale California.  Their top beer at this event was called Apex Seasonal IPA (India Pale Ale) though their top seller beer is called Racer 5.

We had a great tent spot in the shade next to one of the speakers so we could hear everything and was able to catch the Trash Fashion Show on the TV monitors that they had set up toward the back.  So no one was left out of the activities even though the place was packed!

Everyone was super nice at this event and I had a great time volunteering.

Thanks to Aunty & Uncle from Bear Republic Brewing Co. for the shirt, stickers and coming out to enjoy this event with us, along with Maxima and Larry Forslund - Kona Brewers Festival Coordinators, and Sandra & Jesse Cordero for having a blast with me while we served the happy beer drinkers.

Maxima & Larry made volunteering so fun, would love to volunteer for them again.. at any event, especially this one!
